For 36 years the CIA World Factbook was printed afresh each year, a country-by-country record of the world. The CIA took it offline in February 2026. Every edition is restored here, each figure as it was published that year, so you can read any country in any year and watch it change.

The original Factbook is public domain, and so is everything here. A download of the whole archive is coming, so that it never depends on one website.
